Royal Cities and High Atlas, 12 days.


Discover the variety of the culture and the Moroccan landscapes on this trip through the royal cities and the High Atlas.

Gold door of FèsDay 1 : Tangier - Chefchaouen.
Reception at the port of Tangiers - travel towards Chefchaouen. Accommodation in a hotel.

Day 2 : Chefchaouen.
Breakfast in the hotel then off towards Fès where you will discover one of most important royal cities of Morocco.

Day 3 : Fès.
Possibility of visiting the city with a local guide which might include the famous tanneries, a walk in the medina, a visit to the different medersas or the opportunity to get lost in the souks for a while.

Day 4 : Meknès and Volubilis.
Visit the royal city of Meknès and, if you have time permitting, the Roman ruins of Volubilis.


Day 5:
Oumrabiaa and the forest of cedars.
Breakfast in Fès and journey towards Oumrabiaa through the forest of cedars - night in bivouac or at an inn.

ImilchilDay 6: Imilchil.
After breakfast journey to Imilchil. You will spend the night near the natural lakes of Iseli and Tislit far from any traces of civilization.

Day 7: Gorges of Todra.
Breakfast in Imilchil and then travel by Land Rover towards the Todra gorge. It is a wild landscape, populated with Berber villages and nomads minding their herds of goats. Hike down the narrow gorges, the fruit of the separation of the High Atlas and Djebel Sarrho. You'll refresh yourself a bit by bathing your feet in the cold and crystalline water of the river. Dinner and accommodation in the hotel.

MerzougaDay 8: Merzouga.
After a good mint tea, walk in the palm plantation of Todra, before heading for Merzouga, the region of the Erg Chebbi, only Saharan erg of all Morocco. It is here that you will be able to cross, in the slow pace of camels this mountain of gold-colored sand. You will appreciate the pure beauty of the landscape. In the evening, by a campfire under the starry sky, the traditional musicians will help you to catch the spirit of the desert.

Day 9: Oases and Rissani's palm plantations.
Discover the desert region with its isolated oases and the black desert. Visit Rissani's palm plantation and the old kasbahs. In the evening, return to Merzouga to further take advantage of the peace of the desert.

Day 10: Gorge of Dadès.
After breakfast, you'll head for Nkoub going through Alnif and on tracks across the desert zones to arrive in the gorges of Dadès. Walk in the tranquility of mountains and take a moment to appreciate the lifestyle of the Berbers isolated by the quietness
Marrackech's sailormountain. Everywhere, you will discover a new scene of daily life and spend the night in a hotel in the heart of the gorge.

Day 11 :
Valley of Dadès - Marrakech.
Take the road of the thousand kasbahs passing by Skoura towards Tizi N' Tichka's pass until arriving in Marrakech where you will stay the night.

Day 12 : Marrakech.

Discover Marrakech, the famous red city. Visit the immense souk, and plunge into the excitement of the place Djemaa El Fna. Be delighted by the dancers, snake charmers, jugglers, narrators, singers. Enjoy refreshment with an orange juice in front of the numerous workshops.
