The Great Moroccan South, 12 days.


The southern region of Morocco is less often visited by travelers, yet it is more vast than the north and quite colourful and alive. It is here that you will have the occasion to discover the culture of the Berbers and to appreciate spectacular landscapes so different from the rest of Morocco.

Berber villageDay 1 : Agadir - Tiznit
Upon your arrival in Agadir you will be welcomed by your guide and will leave for Tiznit, famous for its jewels of silver. It is a good point of departure to discover the Anti-Atlas.

Day 2 : Tafraoute
The day begins by investigating the souks of silver before beginning the road to the interior. You will cross the sweet agricultural landscapes and then wind into the mountain which can take surprising tones. You will see small Berber villages coiled on hillsides, becoming confused almost with the earth surroundings. In the afternoon you will arrive at Tafraoute in the heart of a striking landscape. The village is famous for its almond trees, its argan oil and its slippers. Snuggled up in a charming valley, Ameln, the meadows of Tafraoute, is ideal for walking.

Day 3 : Discovery of the valley and the Berber traditional house.
Take the opportunity to get in touch with the lifestyle and the local culture. In
the evening take advantage of the famous ZagoraMoroccan hospitality.


Day 4 :
Tata
Tata is a city of the Anti Atlas and is goodstopping point before resuming the track. It is a quiet town in tones pastel of pink, blue and yellow tones.

Day 5 : Zagora
Traveling on rarely frequented tracks, and in a seldom-visited sector you will experience landscapes very different from those that you may know. At the end of day you will reach Zagora, the heart of a beautiful oasis.

Day 6 : Walk with camels.
You will approach the desert regions of Morocco, traversing in Land Rover, the immense track through barren landscapes. Before arriving in Merzouga, you will travel on a camel to join your camp under traditional Berber tents and to admire the sunset on the dunes of golden sand.
In the evening, by a campfire under the starry sky, the traditional musicians will
help you to catchMerzouga the spirit of the desert.


Day 7 : Merzouga
Wake up to the sunrise on the ever-changing dunes and take advantage of the slow rhythm of life in the desert.

Day 8 : Todra Gorge.
After your trip to the desert, you will travel Todra's magnificent and narrow gorges where vertiginous cliffs of pink ochre frame a crystal clear and fresh river. At the end of the day, you will have time to appreciate the beauty and tranquility of these places.

doigts_singesDay 9 : Dadès Gorge.
Your driver will leave you within a few feet of the fabulous rocky formations so that you can continue your trip on foot. In your own rhythm, you will discover intact and wild landscapes strewn with villages with flat roofs among almonds and fig trees. Spend the night in the gorge.

Day 10 : March through the Dadès gorge.
Spend the day walking in the gorge and another night in the gorge.

Day 11 : Tioute.
Depart in the direction of Agadir to spend an evening on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean in the excitement of this modern city. During the day you will stop in the small village of Tioute where you will have been able to walk in a fresh palm plantation.

Day 12 : Agadir
To Agadir airport for your departure.
